Excellent value and performance. Minor drawbacks.
I was pleased to be able to buy a Acu-Rite wireless instrument that indicates both temperature and humidity at such a reasonable price. And it seems to work very well. Its only drawbacks are minor and will not matter to everyone. First, the display unit is smaller than others I have had (approx. 2.5 x 3 inches) and since it is displaying two parameters vice one, the numbers (approx .6 inch) may be considered small by some. Second, as with many similar displays, when not viewed nearly straight-on, the numbers can appear faint.

A first class read for anyone who appreciates historic sea lore.
This is Melville's story of his own experiences during fourteen months at sea as a US Navy sailor during 1843-1844, sailing from Hawaii to New England. While he partially fictionalizes the narrative (names and details change) it is one of the most detailed and engaging accounts of the day-to-day existence of crewmen in the sailing Navy that I have read. His masterful use of dry and almost sardonic humor at once entertains and assures the reader that he retains a clear perspective on human frailties and that, then as now, "stuff happens."
