Not for the inexperienced!
1 of 1 found this helpful These are exact replacements for the capacitors that need to be replaced in these radios and the LED is a great improvement. It takes a steady hand and a very fine tip soldering iron to do the job. If you are not familiar with working on miniature electronics and surface mount parts, I would not recommend trying it. There are some videos on YouTube that are helpful. My radio sounds great now!

Nice kit, but optimistic rating
This seemed like a real bargain and it was easy to change the battery with the included tools. I was disappointed in the battery life though. it really doesn't last any longer than the 7 year old original battery that I replaced. I hoped that it would improve after a few charge cycles, but it hasn't.

Very versatile programmable timer.
This is a very versatile and useful timer. I primarily wanted it for the countdown timer feature which is not easy to find. It can be set for a specific amount of time up to 12 hrs and when that is up, it shuts off and never restarts. The only negative is that it doesn't remember the previous countdown setting so it has to be set each time you use it.
It also has an internal rechargeable battery that keeps the clock going when it is unplugged so it won't lose its program in a power outage or if you move it to a different outlet. When first plugged it, it has to charge for a few minutes before the display comes up.
