Pretty Basic Parenting

The book is ok. It is a good reminder on how to be a patient parent. I have degree in education and this book does not provide further knowledge into lesson ideas. I have already done most of the ideas in the book prior to receiving it. As an educator, I would not purchase this book. As a parent, it reminds us to keep our cool and keep the day interesting. The purchase depends on your personal needs for the information.

Tacky

I have a dry sense of humor, but I found this book very tacky. It should be called "Baby's First Trashy Book". I thought that the book would emphasize the realities of baby's first year, but it goes into "Egg donor", "Surrogate", and so-on (without true regard for parents who choose this route...more of a joke). Unfortuneately, I bought two, one for each kid and I am giving them away. I would not recommend this book!
