Best bang for buck around!
2 of 2 found this helpful For those who do not know, the Primary Arms lineup of low power variable zoom optics is legendary and gaining popularity every day for good reason! The optic I bought (1-6 with ACSS reticle) is especially useful and popular in the intermediate use world. This could be from regular plinking, to hunting, to some competitive 3 gun and more. Why the primary arms? Easy! Because the quality of the big boys is almost all there without the price of the big boys. This optic is high quality from start to finish. The fit and finish is great quality and is fairly resistant to wear. (Had it lay down a few times in the truck bed at the range as well as a pretty hard training class.) adjustment is extremely smooth with no grit or hangups, and the 1power setting is pretty close to 1, Id say 1.3-1.4. (The best iv seen is an elcan with what appears to be a true 1x) Glass clarity is extremely good for the money, especially in the center. (The ACSS reticle is also an amazing bonus, and its only available through primary arms, check out dimitri from PA show how to use it for any unknown distance) I own an elcan spectr dr, a trijicon acog with acss, and a trijicon accupower 1-8. While these are undoubtably clearer glass, I paid over 1500$ for the least expensive of that bunch. When run side by side with a trijicon variable zoom, this optic did fine. It didn't cause me to feel like "I'd lose" in a real world situation. And while I do feel like I have superhuman vision looking through the elcan, this optic cost 2000$ less than the elcan and goes from 1-6. Iv never written a review on a budget optic before, but I must say that primary arms has really made there mark and will be getting my buisness in the future. If you have friends that enjoy shooting but refuse to put quality optics on there quality guns, do them a favor and show them this optic!
