Solid amps that last years.
If you are looking to have a superior surround sound system then separates are the way to go. I run a 7.2 system with additional Bass shakers inline with my 2 subs, so I use eight mono block amps (one amp per speaker). I’ve been using Marantz MA-700 for the last 14 years starting with two and worked my way up to eight so I can say they are very reliable. In my opinion you just can’t find a better amp for the price at (200-275) here on E-bay. The best comparison is Outlaw’s 2200 at double the price (also a solid amp). Most people don’t realize their receiver is a single amp trying to push all channels at the same time, thus creating a lot of heat (that’s tough on connector ends that are soldered). At higher volumes (movie explosions) you get distortion. In other words your working life of that receiver is diminished. Mono blocks take the work load off that single amp and boosts the power to a pure level. Marantz MA-700 mono blocks are well worth the investment if you want that true movie theater experience.

I love this system
X-box 360 allows my son and I to play against each other from different location (He's in another state). With the 360 we can talk to each other with personal chat (xbox live) as we play against each other on the 360 games. The old x-box you couldn't do that (even though HaloII came somewhat close). Yes, the HD images on the game are outstanding and new games pop out every week to keep proving to me it was the right choice. Now Microsoft is adding the camera so you can see and leave visual images on your mail. Do you want to see what your opponent looks like as you play cards (Poker or uno) now you can. As you know the premium system has wireless controllers (they work fantastic) and I can move around the house and not lose my signal (line of sight not required) but now they are releasing the wireless headset. No more cords of any kind to get in the way of game play.....Now that's just cool! Yes, playstation III is due out in the next year (or so they say) but just look at the cost. I dumped my playstationII for the original x-box and I'm here to stay. I have nine friends who all have the new units and not one of us have had any issues with defunt. systems. It is a computer so treat it like one and you will have an enjoyable experience.
