Good product. Apply with care.
The product is exactly as described and well packaged with clear fitting instructions and supplied with cleaning swabs to clean the camera display prior to fitting. However be very careful to remove all traces of dust before fitting as removing the protector and then refitting, it was impossible to achieve a bubble free result if the protector has picked up the tiniest piece of dust. I had to order another one to resolve the problem.

Viltrox JY610C TTL Flash for Canon
Unfortunately there are major problems with the engineering of this flashgun.
On first inspection the product looked and felt solid and wellmade. However, the metal foot would not fit any of my four Canon cameras. On measuring it with a Vernier calliper and comparing the measurement with that of a genuine Canon flashgun, I found that the metal foot was marginally too wide. I had to file down the width of the metal foot and eventually it slid into the hotshoe without a problem. This is a serious problem and most users would not expect to be filing away metal on a brand new product (even if they possessed the appropriate file).
The next major problem is that the battery compartment is not big enough to take most brands of rechargeable NiMh AA batteries as they tend to be very slightly bigger than the alkaline type. The batteries can be inserted but it is impossible to slide the battery door closed. When alkaline AA batteries are inserted it is still very difficult to close the battery door as the sprung battery contacts at the base of the battery compartment have virtually no movement in them.
The flash is small and light and works well works very well in ETTL mode as well as the manual and stroboscopic mode. The head can be rotated upwards to bounce the light of the ceiling but cannot be rotated in any other direction so cannot be used as bounce flash for portrait orientation photos. It's a great pity that the unit suffers from these serious incorrect dimensions, because otherwise it would be a world-beating product available at approximately one tenth of the price of the equivalent Canon product. The Canon 270EX II which looks very similar has the same guide number but does not have the stroboscopic capabilty and costs approximately ten times the price of this flashgun.
