The best

I use machetes a lot in the upper midwest as a land surveyor. I've bought a lot of "wierd" machetes, from Kukri to Panga to more exotic, and this is my favorite design; it's no-nonsense or frills, but it just plain works. It will cut anything from light woody stuff like buckthorn up to a tough 4" elm tree. And a lot of it. Like any tool, you have to keep it sharp, but this one is easy to sharpen, will take a decent edge, and it will keep it. That alone should place this one in the upper 10%. Since it has a weight-forward blade, once you get it moving, it will "do the work for you", unlike other, lighter designs that you have to power through each cut, saving you energy and effort. Tramontina has been my blade of choice for over 20 years, and I don't think you can beat it, including for price. Nor do you have to baby it; it's man-tough.

PIE BOOK By Louis P. De Gouy *Excellent Condition*

Great book! Timeless.

I have lots of books from Mr De Gouy. Not only is he an excellent cook, he can make you one. His instructions are concise and easy to follow, even for beginners, and even entertaining - since cooking is supposed to be fun! I've had his books for decades, and enjoyed them thoroughly. If I can make pies, you all can.
