Another quality tool
I have used Wiha tools, small screwdrivers in particular, for years and chose this one based on that, another excellent precision tool from them at a reasonable price and it will last longer than I will need it for!

My first Poles
Having looked at a few versions and researched some recommendations I opted for a pair of Leki Thermolite XL Anti-shock Trekking poles and they don't disappoint, very light, comfortable and easy to adjust with a reassuring amount of shock absorption but still with firm support.
The only minor niggle is that they don't already come with a pair of the optional rubber tip caps or a carry/storage bag but they are not overly expensive add-ons.
One word of warning too, if you pull out the lower section too far it will easily come out, don't panic, if you make sure the expanding internal clamp collet is fully collapsed you can easily re-insert the lower pole!
