Not very easy to use. Bad design.
I have an older model of the Elgento which has unfortunately given up the ghost. I have purchased a new one but it doesn't perform like it's former model.
It percolates perfectly and rapidly but then, unlike the earlier model, it stays hot for only about an hour and then the neon lights extinguish and it cools down and if you go to it expecting it still to be dispensing HOT coffee you'll find it just tepid. The external switch is also very difficult to use as you need 2 hands to operate it and there's no way you can keep the percolator still with the other
due to the heat of the pot.
I really cannot understand what the designers were thinking, did they not expect users to want HOT coffee all the time the percolator is functioning?
By the way there is an almost identical percolator on sale on the Scotts of Stowe website.
