Better than I expected.
This book is great for those who have fond memories of 80's skateboard graphics. It's full of color photos of hundreds of boards and gives personal memories from both skaters and artists. Sean Cliver used to work for Powell Peralta as a graphic artist just before the fall of vert skateboarding in the early 90's so he has an interesting fan and artist perspective of skateboard art. Alot of attention early in the book is on all the Powell Peralta boards which were the most memorable boards of the 80's (Tony Hawk,Steve Caballero,Mike McGill)as well as other greats from brands like Santa Cruz,Vision and Sims. The book also reveals how the art form changed with the drastic change in skateboarding of the 90's. Cliver tells the history of skateboard art along with his own story as an artist.
