Bigger is better.
High clock speed for me is better than multi core, I'm only performing one task at a time so a faster processor is my preference. I3 processors combine adequate power in an economical package.

Small Digital Thermometer
Although quite small the screen is readable from several feet away due to the simplified display having just temperature and humidity displayed. Powered by a common AAA battery, I don't know the expected life of this as I've only had it for a short while.

Booster Antenna
If you have a Wireless network adapter with an external antenna and are suffering from low signal strength this antenna is an inexpensive and worthwhile add-on to try to improve reception. It worked on two of my desktops with one improving four fold.
