A very very good lens
Now this version is rare. I bought it in as-is condition with very cheap price. There is many fungus inside on both front and rear lens group. I have to disassemble and clean. Lucky that it is not difficult. After cleaning, it becomes a very good lens and I really like those pictures take with it. I sold it because I bought a 135/2.5 later. Even though, I also think it is really good and I'm lucky to have it for a short time. If I can find another in the future with reasonable price, I will buy it again.

Fantastics lens
2 of 2 found this helpful Although it was designed as the cheaper version of Takumar 50/1.4. Unfortunately it is not bad than it. I know that the 50/1.4 user always use it @F2, same as the wide open of this lens. Because of the focal length is 5mm longer, it is more fit to be used as a portrait lens on APS-C body. With open on this lens is sharp enough for portrait and the DOF is more easy to control, so I suggest this lens more than the 50/1.4.

It's really a good lens
It is really a good lens with superisingly sharpness and very awesome color rendering and contrast. It's taste is very Takumar and I really like it. My copy is a s-m-c version but not the latest 8 blades version. Even though, I also think it is good enough. It was solid building, beautiful looking, and good handling. I always put it in my bag and use it together with my Zhongyi lens turbo II on my Fujifilm body. All the pictures take with it never made me disappoint.
