Disappointed with the number of photos and particular by the length/quality of the captions

In 1991 the author co-wrote a book 'Railways in and around Nottingham' which was one of the best books of its type that I have read......great photos and wonderful long descriptive captions.The 2018 Book Law publication centred on Nottingham Vic. (together with an 'augmented' version of the !991 book ) contains too many full plate or half plate photos and relatively meagre captions. I was rather disappointed with the content The quality of the paper/photos was ok .

They were the days !!

One of the two or three best trainspotting nostalgia books in my collection. Packed with good photos and informative and witty captions with ,thankfully ,not TOO many diesels ! Good quality silver link publication.

Only worth it if you don't own the 1991 edition

If you have the 1991 edition (which was brilliant in terms of captions and photos) don't buy this. The additional inserts contain some reasonable photos but the captions are nothing like as informative as with the 1991 version and are not worth the cost of publication. Buy the original on e bay for a fraction of the cost?
