Slight delay hearing own speech

Audio seems OK, but I would have been grateful for some advice on how to remove the slight delay on hearing my own speech. Makes it very difficult to use in video calls (Zoom, Skype etc). I expect this is to do with Settings on my system but I can't find any advice online.
