Cuisinart DLC-5 Food Processor DLC-104TX Work Bowl Lid Replacement Part Only
    23 Feb, 2022
    Love My Cuisinart Replacement Lid
The lid to my bowl for my Cuisinart food processor broke. Upon calling Cuisinart I learned mine is now a discontinued model. No replacement parts available. The motor to my fp is still great so I am delighted to have found the exact replacement part I needed.
Gretsch G9110-SK Solid Koa Concert Ukulele with Gig Bag G9110 Uke
    10 Dec, 2015
A nice uke at a mid-range price, has geared tuners, Aquila strings, solid wood, pretty insets of either pearl or abalone
I am brand new to the ukulele. I thought I could never play a musical instrument, but wanted to. I did tons of research online and visited a music store in person to see and strum this model. Strumming was all I could do at that point, but I liked the uke, appreciated the warm color, know that koa is a great wood for ukes and I knew I wanted geared tuners and Aquila strings. The gig bag was a nice addition, but I am now going to get a real hard case so that I can be sure my uke is stored properly. I am now playing songs and have noticed a few things. The fretboard is straight and even, no rough edges. It is finished nicely with dots on the side to give you an idea of where you are on the fretboard when you play. I tend to sit when strumming, so I don't need a nut on the bottom of the uke to hook up a strap, but you might. Only take it to a louthier to do this! They know what they are doing and you would not want to crack your new uke. I I noticed the color is more of a cherry mahogany color than the golden color I am more familiar with seeing regarding Koa, but it has nice wood grain, just like the photo. The fretboard is pretty with insets of either pearl or abalone. It looks like abalone to me, but I'm not sure. It sounds fine when I play it, but I now know there is no way the sounds match up to a more expensive uke, such as a Kanilea or a Kamaka, both of which I have had the pleasure of listening to. In the future, as I advance my skills, I will likely want to get one of the Hawiiaan made ukes, but for now this one is fine. I have a little chromatic tuner for it and it tunes easily and stays in tune fairly well. This is not a toy! This is a real instrument capable of working for you, and the more you play, the better it sounds. I think it is a good buy.
