IT SOLVED THE PROBLEM
One of the charging bases of my two-phone set stopped charging the phone. You would be forgiven for assuming the base had developed a fault. Not so. By connecting the base to the upstairs phone cable, it worked ok so it was the charger plug and cable that was faulty. To save continually having to switch the phones round on the working base to charge them I bought this new plugged cable and problem solved. Thought the price a bit steep but needs must and at least it arrived quickly and saved replacing the phones eventually.

EXCELLENT FOR THE PRICE
Bottom of bedroom window glass and the 'no man's land' between the top box on the Venetian blind and the plastic window frame gets wet with condensation in winter time. Also a top corner of that room on an outside wall gets a bit of mildew. Normal when warm air hits cold surfaces. The dehumidifier albeit small enough to sit on the window ledge pulls a fair bit of water out of the atmosphere even when the central heating is running . Container holds a good amount of water and would auto switch off anyway if you didn't notice when it got full to avoid overflows. I reckon it would be excellent in a wardrobe or cupboard with an outside wall as well.
No way of telling how much electric it uses to be honest but I would imagine for the power usage on the label it will be small and well worth it.
Only downside is that in the quiet of the night it sounds loud enough to make sleep difficult (similar to running air-con in hot climates). I use earplugs most of the time anyway so I don't hear it.

I'TS NECK AND NECK
Yet another pillow to add to my wife's huge collection of weirdly shaped and filled pillows in her quest to find one that will allow her to get some painless sleep, and not get up each morning feeling as though she's been in a traffic accident. Disc problems at the top of her back have been a constant nagging pain for years. If this sounds like you then this Dunlopillo Serenity pillow which seems to be working for her, is well worth the money.
