An 'always on' pedal.
3 of 3 found this helpful This is a very subtle pedal. It adds a sweet, soft overdrive. Turning the gain all the way up yields a brilliant distortion, but the real secret is the soft over driven tonality when the gain is a third or half way up. The treble and output interact with the gain control. I'm still discovering new combinations. This pedal stacks well with other distortion or overdrive or fuzz pedals. I'm so enamored with it I own two of them and looking to buy a third. I am not one to make proclamations but I believe I have found the tonal holy grail and will always use this pedal the rest of my life--- it's fantastic, it's well worth the price and if you understand how it's best used-- as a baseline tone machine to get your basic sound-- you'll find this pedal irreplaceable.

There is no substitute... and an American neck IS better than a MIM (Mexico) neck.
2 of 2 found this helpful My second Amer neck. While the Mexican necks are a great value, there is a noticeable difference upgrading to the American neck. Refined would be the best word. Like a fine, form-fitting, hand-cut leather jacket. Noticeably smoother on the back of the neck. You cannot feel the skunk stripe. The ends of the frets are super-smooth, perfectly level in comparison to the other frets. Wow. I'm super impressed. These are a keeper- I'll never let 'em go.
And, acknowledging I'll be labeled a "headstock snob", I like that it sez Made In USA. I'll never let these go...

Stacked SD Tele pickups!
Folks- these are fantastic! I've got 'em in FOUR Tele's and stacked sets in two Strats. You get the vintage sound and tonality (and look) with none of the noise. Love 'em!
