Not a good replacement for model BRK 86Race
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this to replace my old BRK 86 race . I’ll never understand why these designers take a really good design and replace it with their idea , which is not as good , just for the sake of it . There is no improvement only more work for the installer trying to make it fit where the old one was . The main problem is the plug , which was small on the original one and fitted inside the extension box . On the new one it’s larger and you have to make the hole in the ceiling bigger to accommodate the plug as there is no extension box supplied . This would normally be a simple job if you were just dealing with a plasterboard ceiling , but what about if the builders had conveniently placed a wooden joist right where you need the hole to be ? Not a simple replacement job so , therefore , I wouldn’t recommend it.

The best little Grommet in the world
1 of 1 found this helpful Hi, Ebay have asked me to rate and review this little grommet so here go's. Well, what can I say? It's round and it's black and it fits under the bonnet of my car. It's purpose is to help it's five other grommet friends to hold the engine cover in place and it does this without any effort at all. It has integrated, nicely, with the other grommets and they all seem to be getting on very well together. I found it easy to fit, you just push it in and the four retaining lumps click into place nicely, although a little persuasion with a tap from the end of my screwdriver helped. Overall, I am very happy with my little grommet and I'm hoping it will hold my engine cover in place for many years to come.
