Excellent for such a low cost
1 of 1 found this helpful Like all new planes it needed work on the blade to flatten the back,
camber it for fore plane use and sharpen it.
As supplied the blade was ground square.
On this plane the cap iron was fine, I didn't need to fit the cap iron to the flattened blade.
The plane has a flat sole, square sides and a well bedded square frog.
As supplied it's perfect for use as a fore plane.
Wooden handles are nice for such a cheap plane.
Some backlash in the blade adjustment but no worse than I've
seen on more expensive planes.
In summary, an excellent fore
