Goodness, this is a fancy box of magic
If you’re reading this, you’re looking for advice on whether to buy this. I can recommend the h1, it’s handy and has many uses rather than just being a fancy dictaphone.
You will need to buy a “dead cat” mic shield and I would recommend rechargeable batteries, but, the sound quality is great and will definitely get you started.

excellent value
This simply put is fantastic value for money.
The good is that its perfect for my needs, the bad, I had to buy additional gridding for it, which was fine, I bought a 95cm octobox grid which did the job just fine :D

Great product... but...
I recommend the product to anyone using Bowen’s mount on non Bowen’s kit, but I bought this to fit a Bowen’s head and the locking heads on the cuff are too big, so the unit won’t lock in place.
On my neewer kit, it fits like a glove and the same with the interfit kit... but not the Bowen’s.
Bummer because this is a really well made item, and the delivery and purchase experience was excellent.
