Best case prep station out there!
Best case prep station out there. Easy to use, comes with all you need to get started.Time saver, and works good for those with arthritic hands, which is why I wanted one in the first place. The spindle speed is just right and not to fast and just the right torque. Storage tray and stationary sockets work well also and will hold a variety of tools and brushes.

size and scale does not reflect advertised 1/24 scale
I was disappointed that the scale was off. The model. with great features and details is more closer to 1/32 scale than 1/24, and does not fit in size wise with my other 1/24 scale models. A great example is the 1941 GMC die cast firetruck I have, that is accurately 1/24 scale. This example is way smaller than expected, and when placed side by side, the difference is highly noticeable.

the best firetruck model ever made
By far the best firetruck model ever made. It has been the basis for several variations in kit bashing to form new versions using the detailed pump and bed on other chassis, and the pump and running gear can be the basis for both versions of Engine 51 Crown Coach resin cast. There were two versions of this model in a couple different issues. The first one...this model, has a ton more chrome details than the re-issues.
Far more detailed than the current "Trumpeter" version, and about half the cost and far more versatile for other projects. Requires an experienced modeler and time consuming to bring out the details, but the end results are extremely lifelike.
Too bad AMT doesn't re-tool this into a modern version...it would be a Fire truck fan favorite !
