The Segovia Collection, Vol. 9: The Romantic Guitar (CD, 1991, MCA Gold Line)
22 Sep, 2016
Relentlessly exquisite...
I had the pleasure of attending a Segovia concert at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, VA. it is an experience I will always treasure, and every Segovia album takes me back to that moment. Don't be overly awed by his technical excellence -- there is also emotion here! Segovia struck every note, every chord, with intimacy and caring. When you listen to Segovia you enter his world.
The Late Hours Karl Rogovin
06 Aug, 2018
Great book!
Initially my motive for reading this book was my appreciation for Karl Rogovin's excellent paintings and his visual effects on films such as "Black Panther," "Ant Man," and "Doctor Strange." Based on Karl's other talents, I expected vivid, horrifying imagery in his writing, and there is plenty of that. What surprised me though, is the great storytelling, imaginative character development, and rather unique prose style. These tales (three short stories and two novellas) are consistently entertaining. My favorite is "Wolf Child," in which the author enlivens his werewolves with human motives and emotions, family issues, and pathos intermingled with the usual homicidal instincts. "The Late Hours" is a superb collection, and I can't imagine any reader being disappointed.
Forever Changes: Arthur Lee and the Book Of Love

I really enjoyed it!
Readable, consistently interesting, and the cumulative effect gives a wonderful sense of a unique place and time in music history: Los Angeles in the 1960s.
