optimistic wattage claisms - still incredibly bright !
well constructed, heavy duty cast aluminum which appears to be mostly heat-sink
A somewhat misleading wattage claim in the title if indeed 3000w means 3000watts, It could be the model number ? However, reading further into the idem description it stated LED POWER @ 550watt. Somewhat skeptical, I wired them up with wiring, relay and fuse capable of 50+ amps (550watt divided by 12volt = 45.8amp)
I wired an ammeter in series with the pair of lamps and it reads just over 22amps at 13.6volts = 299.2watts)
Assuming my meter is accurate, the lamps come in at approximately 150watts each, and I have now fused the circuit at 30amps
Conclusion : Misleading wattage claims but well made, very bright and happy to have paid what I did - totally blast the original 55watt halogen spot lights out of the water !!!!! fitted two weeks ago, time will tell of their reliability and if the stainless steel bolts remain stainless.
