Thank you for an easy, pleasant transaction. Excellent buyer. A++++++.
The genuine Jonsered coils are very hard to get hold of and expensive so these aftermarket ones seem like a good idea. The slight problem is this one is not a straight swap on a 2054 where the HT lead on the original comes off at a slightly different angle and position. To fit this to a 2054 you have to cut the corner off the alloy casing in order to allow the coil armature to clear the flywheel by the specified 12 thou. It's not hard to do. I cut back the casing of the cool HT insulation a bit too. Once you've done that it fits though the air stator thing doesn't fit neatly down but is pulled into place by the starter housing bolts. So my saw runs fine now with a bit of tinkering. All the coils on eBay look to be the same design so the only like for like swaps are probably used OEM parts which might fail tomorrow.

You really do get what you pay for.
I’ve used the cheap copies of these coils on a few lawn mower/tractor engines over the years and thought they were ok. After some problems with non-functioning new ones I decided to try a genuine B&S coil and I can’t believe the difference. The spark is much stronger so the starting is instant and the engine has more power than it has ever produced in 6 years. I won’t be buying cheap coils again.
I have fitted several aftermarket phone screens to phones and some are difficult to fit and have minor differences that make buttons and sensors difficult to fit. This screen was a very good fit. Everything lined up well and the resolution and brightness are as good as the original.
