Wonderful resource for the serious Irish flute or whistle player. Much more in depth than I expected (450+pages)! It offers important historical background, instructions on playing the instruments. I especially appreciate the detailed description and instruction on playing stylistically appropriate improvisatory articulations and other ornamental flourishes. It contains dozens of annotated tunes for practicing. My copy is missing one of the CD's but the price was significantly lower than other versions. It was a great bargain!
