My Thoughts on My Ovation Celebrity 49S VA
0 of 1 found this helpful Ihave owned several Ovation guitars in the past including a 1995 collectors edition and a 1997 colectors editon, a Korean made 12 string and a custom Eliter USA made 12 string. All of them had great action including the cheaper ones. I've owned Gibson, Guild, and presently have a Martin 6 and 12 string. But some how I always keep my hands on an Ovation. This is the first Celebrity I've owned. It's a great guitar. bought from ebay for a reasonable price. The guitar is in mint condition, the only thing needed is anew set of strings. Even with the "dead" strings on it now, it sounds great when plugged into my Fender amp. May go with coated Martin light gauge or Elixir,which is what I use on my Martins

Ovation 2078-TX5GSM
I prefer Ovation guitars for their play-ability and sound projection. I have a couple of Martin dreadnaughts, but rarely play them.I have owned Gibson, Martin, guild and American made Fender accoustics and I keep coming back to the Ovation brand. The 2078-TX 5GSM is a beautiful guitar. Very high quality. It has anice rich bass and the action is outstanding, I feel very fortunate to have received such a great guitar for a great price.
