I’m mainly a buyer that has been purchasing items on eBay for 20 years now, but I’ve sold a handful of items as well during that time also. I pay via PayPal immediately after every purchase. My experience with eBay has been very positive. I’m retired military and worked secure tactical comms in the military, everything from SHF to HF. I have commercial and amateur radio licenses and many of my purchases are related to radio items and/or electronics.

Good SMR of 2M.
This is the “upgraded stock factory Baofeng antenna. While it doesn’t have as much gain as the long Diamond and Nagoya whips, it has better SWR matching than those antennas. In fact, those Diamond and Nagoya antennas, even genuine, don’t have the best SWR on 2m. This stock antenna has a SWR often measures and 1.04:1, which is very good. In layman terms, while the whips have more gain to reach farther away signals, these pick up better quality signals from close to moderate distance sources resulting in significantly less noise (static). On nearby stations, you’ll often get full quoting (no noise) with nearby/moderate distance stations using these. For further away, you may need to use a whip and just deal with the trade off that comes as noise. For real far stations, consider building your own or a premade N9TAX rollup or Ed Fong’s DBJ-1, both of which are excellent (I have them) and can be found here on eBay.
