Excellent illustated account of why medieval buildings are so appealing
The illustration and description of the construction of medieval houses is excellent and backed-up by many "case-histories". Extremely useful to expert and amateur interested in understanding why vernacular medieval buildings have so much charm and character, as well as something of th characters who lived in them.
