Might not be the correct part
Compare your old part to the pictures before you buy. Even though all of the online resources say this is a direct replacement for the original part in my grill, it was not. My model is 7710.1 and the mounting is completely different. I was able to make it work by building a mounting post, but a person should not have to go through that.
Having said that, I was able to make it work, and it works fine, and looks like it should hold up well.
Note: The seller did not misrepresent this at all. The picture and description was correct for the part being sold. I just failed to realize it was not the same as my original part until I received it.
In truth, I'm guessing it is impossible to find the correct part anywhere, so a person really has no option than to figure something out like I did, or get a new grill.
