Probably pricey, but totally worth it for RPG and SMS collectors.
The Sega Master System has a pretty small library and if you look at it, they struggled to put out more than a handful of quality, noteworthy titles (at least in North America). If you're looking for something on the SMS with playability, this is very accessible to RPG fans. If you're looking to pick this up, you're not likely on the fence and you don't really need me to convince you of the value of this game. Serious SMS collectors seek or own this title as a foundation piece. It is a top 5 SMS game, but it's also the start of a great series of RPGs that would follow on the Genesis. For the uninitiated RPG enthusiast, it's no Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy 6, but pick this up if you enjoy the Dragon Warrior/Quest series and thought it would be awesome if it had a Sci-Fi counterpart.

A fun Cyberpunk/Fantasy distraction.
Solid read, part of a trilogy that kicks off a fun series of Cyberpunk/Fantasy novels that captured my imagination as a kid, and are still compelling reads as an adult. If you're familiar with Shadowrun from the pen and paper game or the later video games, then you'll feel right at home. If you're new to the series and enjoy Cyberpunk as a genre, these may not rank up with the masters of that particular fiction, but they're still very entertaining.

Best RPG on the Genesis. Great RPG in general.
If RPGs are your thing and you're building up your Genesis collection, you gotta own this game. Genesis was defined by sports titles, and some quirky platformers, but this delivered the RPG goods. A top ten 16-bit RPG for sure, maybe even top five if you're not too hardcore of a Nintendo fan boy. Lots of great color and sprites, combat animations are full of life from baddies and the characters you control, anime-style pictures and cut scenes, sci-fi and fantasy to the max, good tunes, great game play, good story telling, solid fundamentals all around. Looks good on the shelf and even better on your TV.
