    This dvd was in very good condition, was shipped off quickly, and took just a week and a day, all as advertised. I got a courtesy via-ebay email from the seller the day that it was shipped. The packaging was very good and I liked the fact that the seller put some padding inside the dvd case, so the discs could not be dislodged and possibly scuffed in transit. All in all a very positive experience.

Touching Human Chronicle
Remarkable chronicle of a man's crusade (if that's a word one can use about Yiddish books) to save, preserve and eventually provide Yiddish books to interested persons, schools and institutions. It can be touching, sad and hilarious, and sometimes on the same page. Lansky set out to save books and ended up with a tale about the people who read, saved and even wrote them. A very human tale about more than a generation of people who survived a cataclysm only to see the language that held them together nearly perish. Half the Yiddish speakers in the world perished in the Holocaust. I gave my first copy to a Jewish friend and bought another one for myself. Because it's not about the Yiddish people but about humanity.

Faithful Rendition
Mostly faithful to the original stories. Watch for a very young David Bruce who would go on to play Watson in the early episodes of the Jeremy Brett series. Wilmer is a more than adequate Holmes and Nigel Stock an excellent Watson. He would go on to appear in the same role for the Peter Cushing Holmes series filmed only a few years later.

Didn't work.
Heated the water but for reasons I could not figure, would not dispense. Went to the Sunbeam site and found that almost 50% of the reviews had to do with the dispense lever breaking. Fortunately I didn't press too hard and was able to return the product intact. I had the previous design of this item for 12 years without any real trouble.
