Half-size to Full-size Mini-PCI-Express Adapter
1 of 1 found this helpful Extremely useful solution to firmly fit a half-size Mini-PCI-E card into a regular laptop “full-size” Mini-PCI-E slot. Always good to have one near because sooner or later it might / will be needed. Seems to be built with solidity; shipped with screws.A “mechanical” adapter, not electronic.

Great for repairing an old LG X110 or MSI U120 netbook
Great refurbished motherboard to replace an older one (broken and very identical) in a netbook from 2008, that didn’t have an integrated slot for a SIM card. Appropriate for a LG X110 or a MSI U120 model. Besides the SIM card space it also has another mini pci-e opening for upgrade, that some versions of the referred netbooks didn’t/don’t have. As the majority of netbook models from that time (it’s the idea that I have) it comes with an integrated Atom n270 1,6Ghz processor and an Intel GMA950 (graphics card) in a GSE945 chipset. It has a VGA output, an ethernet door, 3 usb 2.0 doors, a Realtek HD audio system with two different entries – one for microphone and one for earphones and a memory card reader. The big disadvantage against some other motherboards (and netbooks) is the impossibility of adding extra ddr2 RAM to the 1024Mb that the system already brings. In Windows XP (re-tested and from what I remember) appears to be a reasonable quantity of memory but for later versions of Windows operating systems (Vista, Seven, Eights or Ten) seems to be the minimum of the minimums.

Mainly for predefined devices and Windows XP
Very limited options in the provided software. Drivers only for Windows XP. Wasn’t able to place it working in Windows 7 - but it’s recognized by the operating system. Probably it was good when it was launched (around 2006, for what i read) doing the limited tasks that the software allows. Just the first impressions! (In Windows XP seems to work, but the software doesn’t give many options; even though it appears to help a little encoding in the predefined resolutions given by the software.)
