Best Leonard Cohen cover album
It’s perhaps the 5th time I’ve bought this album which I often give away .
All tracks are gems .
The Warnes’ handling of the lyrics makes you listen anew to songs you thought you knew well .
Best track ? Joan of Arc , an inspired duet with Cohen which has Cohen as the fire and Warnes as Joan — very sensual

Lovely Rowan Denim Yarn
Rowan denim yarn has been around for many years — I hope it’s never discontinued .
.... it’s a pleasure to work with , the only problems being that the dye stains your hands and the yarn shrinks when washed so you have to carefully do your sums before you start if you are making to measure .

Alison Krauss and Union Station -- " New Favourite "
Somehow I'd missed Union Station but stumbled across " I am a Man of Constant Sorrow " on the soundtrack of " Oh Brother Where Art Thou ? " . Further rummaging brought me to Dan Tyminski (who sang George Cloony's bit on the film's soundtrack -- guitar and mandolin ) and Jerry Douglas ( dobro and lap steel guitar ) and Alison Krauss , the only one I did know .
Idividually they are great musicians -- together they are incredible .
Thanks to them I am now a huge fan of Bluegrass music dragged into the 21st century ; this album is the perect introduction to the genre .
