Neat, smooth and silent.
I bought this as a replacement for a chassis which failed during an exhibition, and was very impressed with the silent, smooth running of the mechanism. Kato have a very good reputation in the model railway field, and this one fully lives up to it. It was a simple, push fit replacement for the failed one (of a totally different design) and gives me very confidence that it will have a long and useful life.

A useful, very well made product
The saw is light and well balanced. Its handle is very nicely turned, smooth and well varnished and fits comfortably into my hand. A fretsaw is an essential item in my tool kit; used for a lot of different projects and I'd be totally lost without one.

Beautiful painting and lettering.
Living not far from Worcester, I have a small collection of the area's former private trader wagons on my railway. I don't remember seeing this model before, so this was a good chance to add it to the fleet.
The livery is that of a genuine vehicle of many years past; the elaborate lettering, which attracted me to it, is very neatly and clearly reproduced. The complex variety of styles adds interest, and I would be very hard pressed to reproduce them by hand. That in particular makes the model worth having - it shows just how far the makers have progressed in recent years with the finish applied to their models.
