Great calculator. Great value.
0 of 1 found this helpful G2 version of the HP Prime. Great overall calculator. Much faster at 3D graphing than any other calculator I have. Touch screen works well.

XBOX 360 HD-DVD laser head works in Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD player internal drive.
Laser head from Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive was used to repair Toshiba HD-DVD player HD-A2 which has stopped playing HD-DVDs. The laser head was a drop in replacement for the drive in the HD-A2. Toshiba HD-A2 player is now once again playing HD-DVDs!
This repair does require disassembly of the HD-A2, removal of the bare HD-DVD drive, disassembly of the HD-DVD drive to access the laser head. Once you have access to the laser head the item received was a drop in replacement that only required disconnecting a ribbon cable and moving the radial tracking hardware from the original laser head to the replacement laser head.
I did try replacing the entire HD-DVD drive in the HD-A2 using a drive from the XBOX 360 HD-DVD drive. The physical constrcutuion and electrical cables are almost identical between the XBOX and HD-A2 HD-DVD drives. This transplant of drives did work for DVDs, but did not work for HD-DVDs due to drive authentication errors between the XBOX drive and the HD-A2.
So, the XBOX 360 HD-DVD drive itself cannot be used in the HD-A2, but the laser head appears to be a drop in replacement. This definitely works for the HD-A2 and may possibly work for other Toshiba HD-DVD players which have stopped playing HD-DVDs.
Note: Toshiba is the OEM for all HD-DVD ROM drives. LG produced some combo Bluray/HD-DVD drives that appeared in LG combo players and for computer applications.
