The Annapolis Book of Seamanship is an excellent resource and belongs in the library of every serious yachtsman...
As a professional Captain, Sailing Instructor, and lifelong boating enthusiast I have seen many books on seamanship, but none as comprehensive and as readable as this one. Virtually every topic that you need to know about safe boating and the practical side of "How do I...?" you will find in this book. And that is true if you are a power boater or a sailor. Plus, the illustrations and diagrams (Visual Aids) are superb. Even with my experience and 30,000 sea miles under my keel, there is much for me to glean from this work, and it has become my go-to reference.
The Annapolis Book of Seamanship is an excellent resource and belongs in the library of every serious yachtsman or woman. Read it. Learn from it. Most importantly, apply the knowledge found there to your experiences on the water. To do so will enhance your pleasure, your confidence, and help you to be a better operator.
