Good for a beginner

The ring mandrel is of good quality. Solid heavy steel with easy to read markings. The mallet is a little cheap one face on mine broke the second time I used it, shaping silver around the mandrel. So I would invest in a better mallet, but this set is good to start with and the mandrel should last a lifetime.

Penn Clash Spinning Reel CLA4000!

Best penn yet

I haven't had the clash long but I've used it a few times now and it has preformed flawlessly. It is smoother and noticeable lighter than my battle and conflict which makes it easier to cast all day. The large Soft knob on the handle is very comfortable and easy on your hand. Over all it's a great reel I can't wait to hook up with a big red with it and see how it handles.
