XBOX Official Magazine December 2001 Premiere Issue Dead or Alive 3 unopened !
08 Feb, 2017
These are the real thing!
This is it, the premiere issue. It matches the first one I received in the mail as a premiere subscriber to the Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) and the ones I bought in stores in 2001-2002. It even says it on the cover "Premiere Issue" in case your friends want to confuse it with the 8 page handout given at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2001. Back then, the Xbox was a brand new venture for Microsoft and some critics said it was going to fail. Sony and Nintendo were thought to be too strong. The game offerings on the Xbox platform were said to be too few and Microsoft was still reeling from a monopoly court battle. But on November 15, 2001, Bill Gates personally handed Edward Glucksman of Keansburg, N.J. the first Xbox ever sold at a Toys "R" Us store in New York. This magazine "Dead or Alive 3" is the Premiere issue that came out that very month for the month of December (issues came early in the mail). It comes with a DVD that showcases the original games that were available with the very first Xbox release (there weren't playable discs offered until the 2nd "Halo" issue). These came out just in time for Microsoft to hype up the Christmas buying frenzy. Get this last one while you still can can. It comes with a first-ever world exclusive review of Halo. It also comes with reviews of DoA3, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Project Gotham Racing, TransWorld Surf, NASCAR Heat, Cel Damage, Fuzion Frenzy, 4x4 EVO 2, Madden 2002, NFL Fever 2002, AirForce Delta Storm and Star Wars Starfighter:SE. It also comes with previews of Project Ego, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, SSX Tricky and Silent Hill 2: Restless Streets. On the Disc: Trailers for AirForce Delta Storm, Amped Arctic Thunder, Cel Damage, Dark Summit, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2, Dead or Alive 3, Galleon, Hunter: The Reckoning, Mad Dash Racing, Madden 2002, NASCAR Heat, New Legends, NFL Fever 2002, Project Gotham Racing, Shrek, Star Wars Starfighter: Special Edition, The Thing, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2x, Ultimate Fighting Championship: Tapout and WWF Raw is War. Special features include: Designing Xbox with Horace Luke and Jeff Henshaw and Xbox Difference with Seamus Blackley
