A classic for the modern age
2 of 2 found this helpful The AT33 cartridges have been around for a long time now. They have a special place with me because they mate very well with REGA turntable/tonearms as they don't need spacers. They are only 16mm tall! The AT33PTG/II is the top of the range with it's nude Micro-Line stylus mounted on a tapered gold plated Boron Cantilever. Mounted on my REGA P6 turntable with a REGA RB-330 tonearm, it's sound would be best described as refined, clean, polished. It's not overly bright like some AT cartridges yet, the bass is very tight and well defined. The Micro-Line stylus, while requiring very careful, time consuming alignment, rewards you with flawless tracking and smooth, distortion-free tracing of those fickle inner grooves. I highly recommend this Low Output Moving Coil cartridge to ALL REGA turntable owners!
