OK. Not great.

Promoted as comedy/drama, the comedy doesn't really work. Cusack and Thornton hold the film together with excellent acting. Some scenes with drunken behaviour are simply gross.

Entertaining and fun.

Deadpan humour delivered by consumate professionals. Blunt and Nighy work well together despite the age difference. Recommended.

Saved by good acting. Turgid script makes viewing difficult.

DVD in good condition. The film shows why Tilda Swinton is so highly regarded. Otherwise the film is a melodrama suited to matinees on the couch.
