Brief, comprehensive history of the NA program
2 of 2 found this helpful This book is a beautiful and well thought out history of the Narcotics Anonymous program. Although no written history has been kept due to the anonymous nature of the program and most of what is known comes from faded memory’s and strong opinions the book stays well clear of the more controversial parts of the programs history and offers the reader a "just the facts" approach to how Narcotics Anonymous came to be the premier addiction recovery program it is today. The story of how the program has persevered through its shaky beginnings and struggles of infancy is documented very well with the facts as they are known. You are taken on a journey through time that is both informative and spellbinding. If you have any interest at all in how Narcotics Anonymous as we know it today came to be, then you are guaranteed to enjoy this nicely illustrated volume of our history.
