Hey, We Got White Walls!

Great tire and a super eBay price. This is certainly better than the tires on my new bike. "Builder tires" but the bike was several years old. 2018 model, if that helps. These were put on an e-bike. They have a lot more tread and grip than the smooth stock tires. A plus is the fact that they are more flat resistant. There is also a white stripe about 80% around the tire. I think it reflects. I expect to get razzed about the white walls but so what? I am riding an electric assist bike that can hit 28 MPH. Adios hills and me wheezing. Electric bikes don't get much love in my neighborhood.

ACR is hard to beat

This unit is an older product by ACR and while not obsolete newer is better in this case. I plan on installing new batteries in the unit myself and save 50% of having an ACR install. ACR is the best on the market in my opinion. This unit is probably NOS and at least 12 years old. It works and will be a secondary unit while at sea. It was a good buy at a fair price. I got what I paid for but recommend buying new if it is your sole source of satellite contact.

Garmin Street pilot C 330

I got a pretty good deal on this from an eBay seller. The box says "reconditioned" but I don't believe it. The C330 is now obsolete and being replaced with the "Nuvi" line. The reconditioned status is probably to move new discounted merchandise without harming their retail vendors. The device works well and is a great bargain considering it was many hundreds more when first released. Garmin doesn't seem to have much support for this unit. I wanted to get a holder to avoid using the windshield device and haven't had much luck. Beware using the windshield holder, it's illegal in california and many states. San Francisco PD allegedly writes everyone they find with a radar or GPS unit stuck on the windshield. This is a good buy and works well. You can live without the bigger screens, but that is the direction of the market. I would recommend to a friend.
