does exactly what it says on the tin
This motor does exactly what it says on the tin. However the casing was damaged in the post - I simply swapped the end casing for the old one and it all works fine.

Easy to use Sat Nav
6 of 6 found this helpful I thought it was about time I had a Sat Nav and so researched them online and in the high street. I eventually settled on this one because it included the Traffic avoidance option, had good reviews and is reasonably priced.
In use it performs well. However there are some limitations that the purchaser needs to be aware of. The biggest problem seems to come near large roundabouts. On approaching a large rountabout at, for example, a motorway junction where you need to turn right, the Sat Nav voice will tell you to turn left onto the road and then exit left to the required road. This not only puts you in the wrong lane for your desired route but could send you the wrong way. The map does show the correct route but who has time to glance at that whilst negotiating a busy junction.
The other annoying quirk is that you can only input a house number, not a house name. The Sat Nav works very well when identifying a house by number but in a long road where all the houses have names, it is no good at all.
The Traffic avoidance seems to work although, in the short time that I have been using it, it shows up some delays but can't find a quicker way around them.
It works very well when I decide that I'd like to turn off the motorway and find a pub for lunch. After lunch, Sat Nav knows exactly where I am, even though I don't and it will quickly get me back onto my route.
The estimated time of arrival seems to work very well but it can't adjust itself for delays that the traffic avoidance does know about. It always assumes that you will be travelling at around the speed limit for the roads you are using.
And finally, the speed camera warning feature seems to work well except that if you are driving along a stretch of road where there has been long term roadworks with a speed restriction that has since been removed, you will receive an annoying repetitive warning to reduce your speed. I assume that this will be sorted out the next time I download updated map data.
