Good solid camera with lots of extras
Bought this to replace my Olympus FE 180,which was fine but the delay in pressing the button and taking the picture was too long,resulting in bad portrait photos.
With the Lumix DMC-FZ28, not a problem,and the burst mode,taking about three photos a second is brilliant.
If you do not wish to pay lots more for a SLR camera, this is a great alternative. The 18x zoom with it's Leica lens produces good pictures,and the camera seems very solid and well made.
There is an intelligent mode which is fine for most pictures,or lots of manual adjustments if required.
I use it for general everyday family use,bird photos etc.and the improvement in quality of photos taken is much better than using a pocket size camera.
I cannot think of anything I do not like about the camera

Just works, great for making burgers, better than shop ones.

Worth paying slightly more for a good quality one. long shelf life
