DC07 'All Floors' cheap & effective motor fix.
Took an hour to strip down the vacuum cleaner and about the same to put it back together. Easy enough job, just have to be gentle with the plastic as it can be brittle due to age. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do the job so if in doubt refer to them.
I bought a motor, a purple hepa filter and the blue sponge filter in a yellow plastic casing for about £23. At that price it was well worth the couple of hours it took to do the job. The dc07 is now as good as new.
