Only had this product for about 2 weeks, so I can't tell you if the color will fade or if will and if so how quick. I can't tell you much at all other than it is exactly what it says it is. I can tell you that the cap will unscrew from the stud as well. It's not just the nut that can unscrew. They are nice so far though and I do like them. Quality seems (seems) good so far. I need about 6 months to determine how they hold up in weather and if the color fades at all.

Head phones without a mic what a pleasure.
The price is great and the sound quality even better. I don't like microphones attached to my devices and these headphones don't have them. In a world of increasing choices, it's ironic that it's becoming so hard to find good quality headphones that don't have an annoying mic attached. Skull Candy has always been my go to for great sounding headphones and they always will be as long as I can get them without a mic.
