Good value, with limitations.
1 of 1 found this helpful The third edition of Turn Left at Orion is generally available considerably cheaper than the fourth edition, but has some drawbacks. It's hardback, and is thus more durable than the spiral-bound (I own both and have accidentally torn several pages from the fourth edition when it slid out of my lap sitting at my telescope). Much of the content is the same, but the fourth edition has larger "where to look" diagrams and better finder scope diagrams. I like the more detailed night-by-night "guided tour" of the moon from the fourth edition. Another difference is that the moon images in the fourth edition are correct images while the third edition has mirror images as seen in a mirror diagonal. All in all a good value and useful as a backup or loaner book if you have the fourth edition.
