A disappointment. HP really went "cheap" on this one!!
My new Dell computer with an I7 processor has USB ports on the front, back and top. I have not had any problem with the "strength" of the USB connections with any peripheral except unfortunately the web cam. In some of the USB ports, the computer does not find the web cam. Also, the clip to attach to the monitor is not good. Mine is a standard Dell 22" monitor. The clip has to be attached very carefully to properly grip, and it has fallen off a few times. Maybe I'm missing something in the way it was designed. But, if I am, then a lot of other people must be missing it too! The quality of the picture it takes seems to be fine. I bought the web cam from a good ebay vendor at an excellent competitive price. The vendor did his job perfectly. I own numerous other HP items. I'm usually very satisfied with their hardware. Web cams are very inexpensive. That's the only reason that I didn't make a big fuss with HP about the crummy attachment clip and the poor USB connection. If this were a $100+ item, they would have heard from me. In this case, I'll just accept the fact that HP really disappointed me this time with a truly "cheap" item, and next time I'll buy a different brand.
