NEW Shimano Di2 EW-WU111 IEWWU111A Wireless Transmitter Unit E-Tube Port x 2

Di2 upgrade

I upgraded my DI2 system from the old external junction box mounted under the stem to the bar end unit. It cleaned things up nicely, less wires. Then I decided to get the wireless unit to finish the upgrade. I connected it in-line at the internal battery in the seat stay. Downloaded the e-tube app on my iPad and updated the firmware successfully. Fiddled with the the different functions for my wahoo bolt and everything was set. Works very well. I’ve read about how the firmware update can “brick” your di2 but I didn’t experience this at all. Before I installed the wireless transmitter I had previously updated the firmware on my system when I installed the bar end junction via e-tube project on my older windows laptop. I believe this might have helped streamline the install of the wireless unit.
