Why yes, it is grey.
I have a bunch of different watches for different days, and different moods. Somedays, the psych meds, and the cycle of my mood swings get me in the zone where I have, as they say, "no affect". On those days, this is the go-to watch. It is grey-on-grey, with grey accents that highlight the lack of highlights. It goes very well with grey clothes, my grey moustache, my remaining hair, and is the perfect watch for an overcast day when I don't feel like relating to anyone and don't want any more from a watch than it just sit there and cover up the bare untanned spot on my wrist that I have acquired from always wearing other watches on brighter days. I would trust it to tell me what the time would be, if I cared.

Powerful dynamic range, solid stable seamless imaging with horizontal and vertical spaciality and very definite and stable depth. If you have at least a 5.1 set-up and a SACD player, you want this. 'Tis really a tragedy that Sony/Philips did such a good job convincing people that standard CDs were perfect that the public was never curious about whether SACD's were a worthwhile improvement. This SACD is evidence of that.
